Registration Details
- Early Bird Registration will close at 8:00 PM EST on January 29, 2026.
Become a SoLAR Member to receive the SoLAR member discounted LAK26 registration rate and other year-round benefits!
- Your SoLAR membership must be valid beyond May 2026 to be eligible for the LAK26 registration discount.
- SoLAR memberships only allow you one LAK registration discount in any 12 month period
- Note: If you have not received a membership confirmation email within 60 minutes of joining please check your spam folder as it may have been filtered by your email system.
- If your institution is a SoLAR member then you qualify for complimentary individual or student membership using the unique discount code provided to your institutional contact.
- Please note that this membership is not automatic, you will need to use the discount code provided to your institution to sign up for your free individual or student membership.
- During LAK Registration, you will be asked for your SoLAR/ACM Membership ID. To find your SoLAR Membership ID, you need to log in to your solaresearch.org membership account via the LogIn button in the top right corner. Your Membership ID is located on your membership account page which can be found here: https://www.solaresearch.org/membership-account/. Any questions regarding your SoLAR membership can be sent to info@solaresearch.org.
- Non-members who register at the reduced member rate will be asked to pay the difference plus a $50 USD administrative fee.
Registration Rates
All Conference Fees are in USD and include all taxes and fees.
SoLAR has made a concerted effort to keep LAK registration rates to just cover costs as illustrated in the financial information provided during the Annual General Meetings. The LAK26 Organizing team in conjunction with SoLAR have worked very hard to keep the in person registration fee increases as low as possible, but still able to cover rising conference expenses due to inflation.

Full Conference Package
Includes all main conference sessions (Wednesday, April 29 – Friday, May 1), daily morning and afternoon breaks, lunch, Wednesday evening Poster Reception, and Thursday evening Conference Dinner (two course sit down dinner with enchanting traditional Norwegian entertainment.
Does NOT include admission to any Pre-Conference Workshop Events. All Workshops/Tutorials events must be purchased separately.
Main Conference Only
Includes all main conference sessions (Wednesday, April 29 – Friday, May 1), daily morning and afternoon breaks, lunch and Wednesday evening Poster Reception.
Does NOT include admission to the Conference Dinner Event or any Pre-Conference Workshop Events. All Workshops/Tutorials events must be purchased separately.
Conference Scholarships & Developing Nations Discounts
A very limited number of conference scholarships are available. In-person scholarship applications must be received by December 11, 2025. Information & Instructions can be found here: https://www.solaresearch.org/events/lak/lak26/lak26-scholarship/
For developing nations identified here: https://www.worlddata.info/developing-countries.php, SoLAR is happy to provide a 20% discount on fees if applicable. If you require financial assistance and qualify based on your country location, please email lakconference@gmail.com with Subject line: LAK26 Developing Nations Discount and we will provide further instructions which will be a short google form (or other format if your local context does not allow Google Forms).

LAK26 Refund Policy:
The 16th International Learning Analytics & Knowledge Conference refund policy is as follows:
All refund requests must be received in writing to lakconference@gmail.com
All refunds are based on the total fees paid. This includes all pre-conference, full, main and conference optional add-on fees.
- Requests received by January 30, 2026, 8:00 PM (EST) will receive a full refund, less a $50 USD administrative fee.
- Requests received by February 5, 2026, 8:00 PM (EST) will receive a 50% refund, less a $50 USD administrative fee.
- Requests received after February 5, 2026, 8:00 PM (EST) will receive no refund.
No exception will be made to the cancellation/refund policy for registrants due to personal or travel related issues, natural disasters, or other acts of God.
LAK26 shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event this conference is canceled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this conference impossible.
LAK26 Transfer Policy:
Unable to attend but someone from your university or organization can? You’re in luck!
We are now able to accept transfer requests.
Rules for Ticket Transfers:
- All transfer requests must be submitted to lakconference@gmail.com by March 27, 2026, 8:00 PM EST
- Absolutely no transfers will be accepted after the above deadline.
- There are no changes in ticket categories for ticket transfers. For example, if you purchased a member priced ticket, the new attendee must also be a member or purchase membership.
- Regular tickets can be transferred to students but there is no price adjustment available
- Student tickets cannot be transferred to non-students
