Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will the conference be held during the original conference dates, Sunday, April 11 - Thursday, April 15, 2021?

No, due to moving online, we will be altering the schedule to follow our traditional LAK schedule of Monday - Friday. Pre-conference events will now be held on Monday & Tuesday, April 12 & 13 and the main conference will take place Wednesday - Friday, April 14 - 16.

However, please keep in mind our schedule is built based on submissions. Until we know the final submission number and have a final acceptance rate, the schedule is subject to change. We ask all authors and attendees to hold these dates for presenting and attending. As we get closer to the event, final program times will be shared. A final program is traditionally shared prior to the close of early bird registration which ends on February 25, 2021.

We hope to see you online Monday - Friday, April 12 - 16, 2021!

What technology will be used for LAK21?

Currently we are exploring a variety of technologies to enhance social engagement with each other and the overall conference experience. Virtual conferences have been the norm in 2020, and we are gathering knowledge from these other events to create a vibrant and engaging LAK experience. More information to come. Should you have feedback on positive online conference experiences that you would like to share with us, feel free to email or tag us on twitter @LAK21california by November 6.

Yes, there will be a fee for LAK21 which is another reason for making the decision for a fully virtual event prior to registration opening in order to have the fee as low as possible.
